Coldbrook is growing. If you want to find out more information or become a member of the association, Coldbrook residents welcome. Send and email to [email protected] to get involved. We look after Coldbrook playgrounds (Tammie Park, Bess View, Brandon Park), Hayes Fields, Crosby Trail, the Pioneer Cemetery, and the Heritage Hall.

Coldbrook is an unincorporated Canadian suburban community in Kings County, Nova Scotia. At the 2011 census, the population was 2,901. Coldbrook is probably one of the fastest growing areas in the Annapolis Valley. With an over 91% population increase since 1986, it is also quickly becoming a commercial centre. Coldbrook, once the home of many lumbermills and has grown into a thriving community with a mix of business, subdivisions, and agriculture. Residents work at the local Michelin tire plant in Waterville (about 1,300 employees), Canadian Forces Base Greenwood (the east coast’s largest air force base), Kentville Research and Development Centre and the many local service industries. 

The Agriculture industry is never far from Coldbrook’s main street. Coldbrook is home to Scotian Gold, a grower-owned tree fruit cooperative owned by more than 30 apple grower members. Also not far from the main street is Hobby Horse Farm, a privately owned stable, with a history of breading Morgan horses, consisting of 700 acres nestled into the south mountain.

Coldbrook is located in Kings County which has a population of 60,600 (2016). It is the third largest county in the province.  The estimated municipal operating budget is $55 million. The Municipality of the County of Kings, the county includes three separately incorporated towns, Wolfville, Kentville, and Berwick, and two First Nations reserves. It also includes seven villages, Aylesford, Canning, Cornwallis Square, Greenwood, Kingston, New Minas, and Port Williams.

The new municipal office building for Kings County is in the Coldbrook Industrial Park.
