With carefully groomed grounds and large trees providing shade the Coldbrook Picnic Park is a great place to beat the summer heat. With areas large enough to play many sports and picnic tables galore it’s an ideal family retreat. A two-minute walk from Scotian Gold and you can be sitting under the trees snacking in delicious ice cream. Best of all – pet-friendly!”

Loomer Mill – The Loomer Mill was located on the brook where the Fish Hatchery is now located. It was a grist mill for grinding grain into flour and a carding mill to prepare wool for spinning into yarn. The grinding stones are now located in the Provincial Picnic Park.
